Growing for 125 years

-Well done- is better than -well said- ” (Benjamin Franklin) could have been Luigi Savio’s personal motto, we feel certain.

It was 1889, the year of the EiffelTower and the Margherita pizza, when Luigi Savio, a high quality craftsman and a natural entrepreneur, founded Savio.

Luigi Savio was a master in his trade as a manufacturer of hardware items, and his entrepreneurial spirit captured the zeitgeist.

Indeed, those were years of relative peace, with major discoveries in every field and the spread of a considerable prosperity. In this climate, between 1896 and 1913 the world’s industrial production and commerce doubled.

Only innovation creates development

The company developed gradually, guided by men who interwove their lives with that of the family, cultivating growth with passion and developing the principle quality of Savio, the search for innovation.

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we hit it.”

(Michelangelo Buonarroti)

Aiming high, breaking the mould, is the driving force behind Savio. In particular, from 1970 onwards the company accelerated, developing rapidly by breaking records in every sector of its business: in 1971 it launched the first technical service for window fitters, while in 1977 the first tilt-and-turn door for aluminum frames was created.

The goal of growth

Since then there has been a crescendo which has continued even at times of market stagnation.

Products which set new standards, very often above and beyond those required by international regulations. A few names: the Ribanta series, Mechanica, Bernini, Fixia and many more.

A skill for innovation which has received the highest international recognitions and certifications in practically every professional area: production, environment, reliability, design and more.

A presence in more than 60 countries, as well as successfully conquering the markets of the future, China first and foremost.

This constant, sometimes impetuous growth was set in motion by Luigi and passed down from hand to hand, in an exhilarating race towards a goalpost that keeps edging further forward: quality.
